The reason I say okay is because there are really better options, but for a beginner, it would make a great cube. Pops once per solve can be annoying, and explosions even worse, but this is overall an "ish" cube.

This is a great first 5 by 5, but if you want to get more into 5 by 5, you should get something like a yuxin or regular size shengshou as this is hard to grip during 3 by 3 stage and it pops a lot.

First mini 5x5. Its as small as a 3x3!! its very cute and fun to solve but not a good cube

This cube came with nice stickers. I find the size of this cube to be perfect. The LingLong 5x5 is an attractive cube that turns very well and although I have not done anything to the cube as of yet, I find this cube's performance to be acceptable out of the box. This is a perfect cube to take with with you anywhere due to the small size, and it is very enjoyable to solve and I recommend this cube to anyone. I have not had an issue with pieces popping or lockups and find this cube to be stable.

The Shengshou LingLong 5x5 is the first mass produced mini 5x5. It came with great stock stickers which were basically Moyu shades. After lubing the core, it turned amazing. It was smooth with some bumpiness on the outer layers. Overall, this is a great cube for traveling and for collection purposes.

This 5x5x5 has fast bumpy turning. It's much better than a normal size Shengshou 5x5x5 (bought in 2013).
Since it's very small it's hard to speed solve. I tend to overshoot on this cube and that results in lock-ups.
If you like mini cubes or just wanna have a mini 5x5x5 then i would definitely recommend this cube.

This 5x5 is really neat. It's very small and compact. It's about the size of a normal Rubik's Cube. It's not the greatest turning puzzle, and that's the only reason it isn't 5 star material. Though, this cube is a nice puzzle to have and I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone. I really hope ShengShou plans on remaking this so that it has the Wind mechanism in order to be a speedcube.
