I bought this puzzle on a whim because I was ordering some other twisty puzzles. First thing I did was give it to my five-year-old son to scramble. I really have no idea how to solve this, so it might be awhile. Based on reviews I'd read, I opted for the fully magnetic version rather than the magnetic slice. I don't have the "magnetic slice only" version, so I can't do a direct comparison. I can say, however, that I tend to prefer magnetic puzzles over non-magnetic puzzles, mostly based on trying out different 3x3x3 cubes. So, I'm happy that my square-one is fully magnetic. It turns fairly well and the magnet strength feels good. Not too much, not too little. Reading other reviews, some commented that it turns slow out of the box. Maybe I'm used to slower puzzles, but the turning speed didn't bother me. That said, I'm not the fastest puzzle solver. At my best, based on other twisty puzzles, I'll probably be able to solve this in around 90 seconds (once I figure it out).

This cube turns really well, but its incredibly scratchy out of the box, and feels really slow due to the magnets. But after breaking it in, the layers fell really smooth, and the magnets are noticeable. The slice also is insanely fast. And if you lube it up a little, it feels even better. Over all great cube, and be patient with it, because out of the box its really not that good. Just break it in.

this is a great square-1. The slice is super fast, but my only gripe with the cube is that the layers are very slow out of the box. This is probably due to all the magnets that are in them, but I still feel like they could be faster in general. Otherwise, super stable cube that gets a lot better with breaking in!
