when I got it, it needed some serious lube, and even after that it was still a bit sluggish, but I think I just didn't put enough lube in it. cornercutting is ok, and I'd say get a different megaminx if your going to get one.

Turning needs improvement, and the price doesnt warrant the extra work you need to put in to make it a comfortable and better functioning puzzle. Many better options for cheaper exist. And although tiles seem like a classic look for megaminx going back to the mefferts ones people used back in the day, they fall off way too often. It functions but doesnt do more than its average job. If you never owned a megaminx look elsewhere for your first, at this point the only reason to buy this sub par one would be to collect all megaminxes ever made, if that is what youd like to do more power to you.
