It certainly functions well enough, however nowadays better options with smoother turning and corner-cutting exist. This puzzle also tends to lose caps on the top and bottom layer pieces.

mf8 Square-1 II
The mf8 square-1 is decent coming from someone who does not do a lot of square-1. The cube had some decent shades; but, they did get replaced. Out of the box, it was a bit rough. With a lot of lube, it was turning much better and got smoother. It is a great buy for a collection purpose but I would recommend getting a QiYi instead, as that is more aimed for speedcubers.
