I have the MFJS 7x7, and this feels pretty similar, but it is different. The 7x7 is much more stable and it feels a bit more flexible than the 9x9.
For one, this feels a little bit papery. particularly the 7th and 8th layers. It's not that a big of a cube, and I can actually hold the entire thing comfortably in my hands. It's about the size of a 3x3 if it had an extra cubie (~74mm). Out of the box is its pretty dry and fast, not sluggish at all. I haven't had any issues with pops yet, but I've only done one solve so far and am a relatively accurate turner.
Definitely recommended, as long as you keep in mind that this is a 9x9 from a budget brand and it's not going to perform like a top of the line flagship 3x3.
