I just recently bought this cube for a first 5x5 and it is really good. The turning is very smooth and controllable. I recommend this cube to anyone looking for a good, cheap 5x5.

Really pleased with his cube... this is a great 5x5 for the price. It’s also just a great cube in general. Bright highlighter colors and faster than I expected. Seldom locks up. Some corner cutting, but seemingly less than the 3 x 3 I have of this brand.
