The YJ Chilong is another addition to YJ's line of budget 3x3 speed cubes. Featuring a very similar mechanism to the Yulong and Sulong, it also provides similar performance.
Out of the box it feels very smooth, yet with a sort of crunchy feeling and clicky sound to it. It is reasonably fast, but is nothing outstanding or out of the ordinary. Corner cutting is average, being able to cut about 45 degrees but with some effort, while reverse is very little.
After breaking in abit and applying lubricant and tensioning the cube to my preference, the performance slightly improved, most noticeably the speed and the corner cutting. The Chilong sometimes pops or gets corner twists, but it's pretty rare as the cube feels very solid and well put together for a budget 3x3.
Overall this cube is a solid choice for anybody on a budget that is looking for a decently performing 3x3 speed cube. While it doesn't offer anything outstanding or have any strong aspects, the solid all round performance makes it a great choice especially for beginner cubers.
